Thank you for visiting my very first blog for Zsogho. So, what is the reason for this website. Well some years ago when I was living in Silver Lake and preparing to move I wanted to stay in Silver Lake, but at the time I had a very sweet dog named "Stevie".
Stevie was my heart, and I loved Silver Lake and I did not want to move from the area. So the real reason for this website begins. Because I had a dog, it was very difficult to find a place that would accept my dog that was in the price range I could afford. So as it were, I spent 6 months living out of my then Toyota Tercell. When needed I would find a foster for Stevie for a few days. Well I finally found a place through a friend and it was pretty much a hand shake deal.

So, how is this accomplished. Contacting like minded individuals who will help change the landscape. Did you know that the State of CA removes themselves from this decision to eliminate pets from property, that is understood. But what can be done, there must be an attempt to get landowners in a room with people who have given up their pets in exchange for a home or apartment. So that they can speak their minds on "why" there needs to be a change, also get building owners who do allow pets the chance to say, why. This could change the minds of some, but certainly not all. In the attempt to change the outcome, it is the hope that some may then allow small pets, or even better completely allow any size dog, or other pets.
The concern for building and land owners are dogs that dig, bark, howl, scratch at doors when owners are away from home. Trainers or training will be offered to for such behaviors, the building owner or landlord must see proof that pets are trained, and trained well to assure that there is no disturbance of residents or property.

The Pet deposit is the subject here and if you want to know more please connect to the link, there are clear restrictions on this subject, basically you should not be charged no more than two months rent for a combined security deposit and for pet.
Regarding the re homing fee. It is said in this article that the re homing fee is very important because it demonstrates that the person adopting has financial stability. Well it is my ques that it does not demonstrate that at all, I believe that it only says that a person is able to pay a fee, and not that they have any intention of really loving or caring for the pet. In this case "money" does not buy love. You have just given your dog to a person who does not have good intentions..
I say, why re home your pet by charging someone to take it. Because you can no longer care for your pet, because of death, financial or moving. Take care to give your pet to someone who will love it just as much as you have, that could take some investigating, but it is all worth it. Besides, that person is removing all of the dog walks, the trips to the park, the feedings, the purchases of toys, and most of all the vet visits and the bills that come with that.
This is the direction I want to take, it will help good pets to go to good homes, and to people who will love them. Taking 2 or 300 from someones pocket will not enhance your life, but only for a moment.
